My Room 19 is Kdrama!!!

So i m watching a kdrama as usual...it's some old slice of life drama... Revolves about 3 girl friends from school and thier love life's at 30s. 

The main leads get into contract marriage just because, the hero owns the house and he is repaying his loans and in short of money for loan repayment. The heroine was badly in need of place to stay and she comfortable with the room in his house and he is trustable. The hero is more weirder because he talks obnoxious always.

There are two more couple stories too... Girl and guy dating for 7 years, girl wants ro get married but the guy is not sure about marriage and trying to achieve something in buisness. The other girl is career oriented and doesn't believe in love, marriage and all. She happens to fall for some naive fellow who is total opposite of her.

The main couples after marriage slowly falls into love. It happens very slowly and gradually. 

That's a lot of introduction to the drama.. let me get to the point which made to write this post.

The leads were talking about a book in an episode. The story is as below.

There is a married couple. They are too perfect, even in the eyes of others. They were satisfied with thier life too. A Happy and harmonious family. But , the wife suddenly wants to have a space for her own one day. So the man made her the room on the second floor of the house. Then they called it the "The Mother's house" . But soon enough the kids start to enter that room. With the family going in and out, the room just becomes another family room. 

So the wife gets a room without telling to anyone in a cheap hotel far away from the home. Time to time she stays there at her room, a few hours at a time. She doesn't do anything. She just feels happy being in the room, because the room can be the space she can be perfectly alone. 

The wife has been caught up by her husband for renting the room out. And the girl lies to her husband , that she has been having an affair.

Do you think that the existence of the room is more important to her that she lied about having an affair!?! 

One of her friend explains her

The room is nothing if someone finds about it. For the past one year the girl have been spending her whole day time in a dirty hotel room. And she was happy with it. She doesn't exist without the room.She realised that when she says such things, her husband would be scared. 

So it means it's easier to be crazy than to explain something that people can't understand. Actually it's more convenient that way, its better to be crazy than pathetic!!

This Room 19 is in my mind for last few hours. Actually we all need our room 19, how much ever we are close to everyone, we all need that place where we can be ourself, just as a individual not as a daughter, wife or mother.  We lose ourselves while living for others at the we are more desperate to have our own space. 

I googled for the book and read the story summary. When the husband asks the girl to bring her affair to meet him, the girl goes to the room and turns gas on 😵😵
